10 months agoI kinda damaged it thinking i could simply rub the.grime off the forhead I dampened a new rag and my blond moment didnt take into account the age of the card and literally the dot matrix lifted before i attempted any pressure . I immediately stopped. Felt incredibly stupid. But the fading around that area, it's my fault. I've since placed in a safe, dark protected location. You wouldn't believe the things i had to go through to keep this single card safe. You would have to see it to believe it. I have had it long enough.and done so much research and finally found the same space in the letter K in the word "look " that was on one of the letters you can.find online that was written to someone he cared about.i imagine, but his penmanship seems far neater in those letters he wrote while away from his home. They didn't have cell phones in the early 1900's. It was the most concerning thing to me though the signature having that space in the K unlike items online, i had doubts until i came across that one. I screen shot the letters and ive done a shit ton of research Las Vegas Memorabilia had a look at it and they were interested in having it graded via JSA and at that time i.only knew that PSA would make the value increase dramatically and so i had to turn them down because i was unaware that JSA was only meant for the autograph alone im now assuming since i just saw the ad about the upcoming card show in san diego in which it references both PSA for grading and JSA for Autograph authentications.. Boy nothing has ever embarrassed me more in my life time than this card has for my earlier naivete. Im sure there is far more out there to be found about it and from what i know now- It was not my lack of knowledge that had embarrassed me. It was their lack of awareness in threads about the values they wanted to auction and without researching the actual backround yet they gave me a first guess of around 25-30,000 outcome (This is a far cry from what a PSA encased authentication would bring a far larger amount that would likely add a few digits on the back end. Especially if i use Robert Edwards Auction.house in New York. I considered using heritage but was greeted with a bit of snide stuck up attitude when speaking to a man at HA.com versus the Helpful way the person at RobEdwards (I should look back at email to verify that Name or title of the auction house im referencing to. He (Not sure the name as this correspondence im refe..was over two years ago i believe) Any how , at that time i was unaware of the auction house but had since heard in the news of the sales of the Honus W. Going for the highest amount recognized in its history for a 10 (of course)(Unheard of or impossible one would think.) Any how thats when i was pleased to see the auction house name again..And many more times since. I think its safe to say once its graded i will consign with That auction house simply because of the kindness in the voice of an email.(Text has voices if read correctly within a persons Grammer.)

7 months agoRachel thisis how you contact goldin actions: go to ken goldin’s instagram page and DM him exactly what you have. If he finds this authentic, he will suggest that you get it authenticated which i agree with. This is a piece of history and is probably worth upward of 100k if real.
